It can be the outsourcing of their “central” purchasing function, where we act as their “Purchasing Department”. We will staff in our Offices a purchasing team to negotiate with their suppliers and provide support to their operations / restaurants with logistics issues, new products sourcing and any other question they may have. Unlike a GPO, we don’t provide access to deals; we negotiate with suppliers based on our client’s specific needs and manage the day-to-day relations.
It can be the outsourcing of their “food & beverages” category, where we act as their “category manager”, accountable for all transactions/negotiations related to the category. This is attractive to large organizations buying for multiple categories and when “food and beverages” is 10% or less than overall purchases.
